Cataloging and Historic Jail Intern Projects
During the spring and summer, we were
fortunate to have the assistance of another talented college student intern,
Kelly Hartfield. Kelly thoroughly cleaned, organized and cataloged
some court documents which had been stored for several decades in the Licking
County Courthouse attic. These documents originated in the Licking County
Court of Common Pleas in the late 19th- and early-20th
Centuries. Kelly cataloged the items using PastPerfect software.
Kelly also assisted in the creation of a museum display in the Historic Licking County Jail, which was opened to the public for tours in July and August 2012. She performed some of the research for the content of the display, and created and placed several of the display materials. Kelly is majoring in history at Muskingum University.
